If you are using your phone in conjunction with a PBX system, please skip step 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find the phone's IP address<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The easiest way to set up the phone is using your web browser. To do this, you\u2019ll need the phone\u2019s IP address. You can find it as follows: There is a ( ?) button on your phone. Tap it, and then select the \u201eIP Adr\u201c option on the display. The IP address will now be displayed. Write down the address and copy it into your browser\u2019s address bar. After pressing Enter, you\u2019ll see your phone\u2019s web interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Snom 7xx:<\/strong> Here's how to view the IP address by following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Menu button<\/li>\n<li>5 -&gt; Information<\/li>\n<li>1 -&gt; Status Information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Snom 300:<\/strong> Use the down arrow key to navigate here until you reach \u00abInformation,\u00bb then tap the checkmark button to display the IP address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update Firmware<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To update the firmware on your Snom, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Go to http:\/\/wiki.snom.com\/Firmware and select your phone.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click on the desired firmware version<\/p>\n<p>3. Select: \u201cManual Update to VX.x\u201c<\/p>\n<p>4. Please follow the instructions provided by Snom; you can switch the language from English to German at the top (red arrow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3867\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-62.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set Up Identity (myPhone)<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now go to \u201eIdentity 1\u201c on the page and enter the required information there (see screenshot). Also, enable \u00abSymmetric RTP.\u00bb Set RTP\/SAVP to \u00aboptional.\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set Up Identity (voxGate\/hostedPBX)<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now go to \u201eIdentity 1\u201c on the page and enter the required information there (see screenshot). Also, enable \u00abSymmetric RTP.\u00bb Turn off RTP\/SAVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External Settings<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you register your phone externally\u2014for example, with your hostedPBX\u2014there are a few settings that should be adjusted to ensure trouble-free calling.<\/p>\n<p>On the left side, click \u00abAdvanced\u00bb and then the \u00abSIP\/RTP\u00bb tab. Scroll down to the \u00abRTP\/RTCP\u00bb settings and adjust the ports from 10,000 to 20,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3874\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-69.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redirection at the push of a button<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To set up call forwarding on your Snom phone with the push of a button, first go to \u00abFunction Keys\u00bb on the left side of the web interface under the \u00abSetup\u00bb heading.\u00a0If your Snom has older firmware (version 7) installed, the web interface will look like the screenshot below. To set up call forwarding here, select the desired key under \u201cKey Event\u201d and then enter \u201cF_REDIRECT:0791112233\u201d in the number field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-70.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If new firmware (version 8) is installed, the web interface will appear in white and gray. To set up call forwarding to the desired button, select the type as \u00abForward to\u00bb and then enter the number in the number field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3876\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-71.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can now use the button you set up to turn call forwarding on or off at any time. Call forwarding is active when the light next to the button is on. Tap the button again to turn call forwarding off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customize Ringtone<\/h1>\n<p>There are two ways to customize the ringtone on a Snom phone: either through the web interface or directly on the phone's display.<\/p>\n<h2>Customize via the web interface<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">To customize the ringtone via the web interface, you must first access it\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">. On the left side, click \u00abPreferences.\u00bb Scroll down in the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Website until you reach \u00abPhone Book Ringtones.\u00bb Customize the ringtone here\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">as desired.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3877\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-72.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adjust via the phone's display<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are several ways to customize the ringtone using the phone's display, depending on the phone model:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snom 320\/360\/370 \/ Snom 720\/760<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Menu button -&gt; Preferences -&gt; Ringtone -&gt; Active number -&gt; Select ringtone<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snom 300 \/ Snom 710\/715<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Settings -&gt; Preferences -&gt; Ringtone -&gt; Active Number -&gt; Select Ringtone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distinguish Between Internal and External Ring Tones (voxGate\/hostedPBX)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can distinguish between internal and external calls based on their ringtones. To do this, you need to adjust two settings: one on the phone system and one on the Snom phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuration for voxGate\/hostedPBX<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the system, you can include a header with a ring group or queue. Enter the following path there:<\/p>\n<p>\u00abAlert Info:;info=alert-group;x-line-id=0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3878\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-73.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuration on Snom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To configure the Snom, first go to the web interface of the respective phone.
