If you use your telephone in connection with a telephone system, please skip point 4.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find out the phone&#039;s IP address<\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The easiest way to set up the phone is to use your web browser. To do this, you need the phone&#039;s IP address. You can find it as follows: There is a (?) Button on your phone. Tap this and then select the &quot;IP Adr&quot; option on the display. You will now see the IP address. Make a note of the address and copy it into the address line of your browser. After you have pressed Enter, you will see your phone&#039;s web interface.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Snom 7xx:<\/strong> Here you can display the IP address with the following steps:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Menu button<\/li>\r\n<li>5 -&gt; information<\/li>\r\n<li>1 -&gt; status information<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Snom 300:<\/strong> Tap here with the down arrow key until you are at &quot;Information&quot;, then tap the tick button to display the IP address.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update firmware<\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To update the firmware of your Snom, please carry out the following steps:<\/p>\r\n<p>1. Go to http:\/\/wiki.snom.com\/Firmware and select your phone.<\/p>\r\n<p>2. Click the firmware version you want<\/p>\r\n<p>3. Select: &quot;Manual Update to VX.x&quot;<\/p>\r\n<p>4. Turn off RTP \/ SAVP.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External settings<\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you register your telephone externally, for example on your hostedPBX, there are still a few settings that should be adjusted to ensure problem-free telephony.<\/p>\r\n<p>On the left-hand side, switch to &quot;Advanced&quot; and then to the &quot;SIP \/ RTP&quot; tab. If older firmware (version 7) is installed on your Snom, the web interface looks like the following screenshot. Forwarding is active when the light next to the key lights up. Tap the button again to deactivate forwarding.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customize the ringtone<\/h1>\r\n<p>There are two ways to adjust the ringtone on a Snom phone, either via the web interface or directly via the phone display.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Customize via web interface<\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">In order to adjust the ringtone via the web interface, this must first be accessed\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">become. On the left side you go to &quot;Preferences&quot;. Go down to the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Website until you are at &quot;Phonebook Ringtones&quot;. For this you have to adjust two settings, on the one hand on the telephone system and on the other hand on the Snom telephone.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting to voxGate \/ hostedPBX<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You can send a header with a ring group \/ queue on the system. Under the Preferences item, you can go down to &quot;Ringing Alert Info&quot;.
