{"id":3600,"date":"2020-07-17T13:58:34","date_gmt":"2020-07-17T11:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/&amp;p=3600"},"modified":"2020-07-17T13:58:34","modified_gmt":"2020-07-17T11:58:34","password":"","slug":"manual-x-lite","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/en\/support\/wiki\/manual-x-lite\/","title":{"rendered":"X-lite Manual"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick Start Guide<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here you can see the most important features of the X-Lite soft client, which you'll be able to use after installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3858\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-54.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start of Installation<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Download<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, download the free X-Lite Client from the following website: http:\/\/www.counterpath.com\/x-lite<\/p>\n<p>Next, select the version 4.0 that is compatible with your operating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, please read the General Terms of Use carefully and accept them. You will now be asked where you would like to install X-Lite. Select the desired path here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3860\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-56.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now choose whether you want a shortcut on your desktop, whether you want an icon to appear in your Quick Launch bar, and\/or whether you want the program to open automatically when Windows starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting Up the Number<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you can use X-Lite with your desired number, you'll first need to make a few changes to the settings.<\/p>\n<p>Click \u201eSoftphone\u201c in the upper-left corner, and then click \u201eAccount Settings.\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3861\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-57.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A window will now appear where you\u2019ll need to fill in the highlighted fields. To obtain this information, simply log in to your account at https:\/\/my.winet.ch. There, under the \u201eOverview\u201c tab at the very bottom, you\u2019ll find \u201eList of Numbers\u201c (see image below); here, you can select and click on the number you want for X-Lite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3862\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-58.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inserting the Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, you'll be taken to a page where your phone number information is stored. On the next page, the images will show you what information to enter and where in the X-Lite window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3863\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-59.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can easily copy your data from the page into the X-Lite window here. You can use the colored markers to see where to paste each piece of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3864\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-60.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last setting you should configure is in the \u201eTopology\u201c tab under \u201cFirewall Traversal.\u201c Here, select \u201cDiscover public IP address\u201d and enter the Winet server, which is stun01.winet.ch. You can leave the other two fields (User name, Password) blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3865\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winet.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-61.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have entered this information, your X-Lite client is ready to use. You can now use it to make phone calls.<\/p>\n<h1>Important Information<\/h1>\n<h2>Multiple Registrations<\/h2>\n<p>Not all hPBX systems support multiple registrations. The Ayrix hPBX supports multiple registrations starting with version 5.0.<\/p>\n<p>If you're unsure whether you're eligible for multiple registrations, feel free to contact us at any time at <a href=\"mailto:customer.service@winet.ch\">customer.service@winet.ch<\/a> Contact us.<\/p>\n<h2>Ad Format<\/h2>\n<p>This is a phone setting, not a setting within the app itself. Every phone has its own settings for this. There are also differences among Android models. While a Samsung and a Xiaomi are similar, they aren't exactly the same.
