Introduction<\/h1>\n

The following instructions explain how to set up your FRITZ!Box with a Winet phone line.<\/p>\n

Connecting the FRITZ!Box<\/h3>\n

First, connect your FRITZ!Box to your network. If you want to use the FRITZ!Box as a modem, contact your Internet service provider for help configuring your Internet connection. Once your FRITZ!Box is connected, you can access its web interface from your computer.<\/p>\n

Access to the Web Interface<\/h3>\n

To access the FRITZ!Box web interface, you'll need a computer and the FRITZ!Box address. If you don't know the FRITZ!Box's IP address, you can enter \u00abfritz.box\u00bb in your browser's address bar. If the FRITZ!Box is still not accessible, you can also use the \u00abemergency IP address.\u00bb This address is 169.254.1.1; however, to make it accessible, you\u2019ll need to adjust your computer\u2019s IP address. AVM explains how to adjust your IP address here (http:\/\/service.avm.de\/support\/de\/SKB\/FRITZ-Box-7390\/395:).<\/p>\n

Configuration<\/h2>\n

Set Up a Phone Number<\/h3>\n

Now that you have access to the web interface, it's time to configure the phone line. To do this, go to \u00abTelephony\u00bb and select \u00abMy Phone Numbers.\u00bb Then click \u00abNew Phone Number.\u00bb.<\/p>\n

You will now be taken to a wizard for setting up your phone number. First, select \u00bbSet up Internet phone number\u00bb and click \u201cNext.\u201d.<\/p>\n

You can now enter the information for your phone number on the FRITZ!Box. You can find the required information in your welcome letter or at https:\/\/my.winet.ch. The screenshots below show which details about your phone number are required for registration.<\/p>\n

Once you have entered all the information and clicked \u00abNext,\u00bb the FRITZ!Box will attempt to register the phone number with our system. If this is successful, you can complete the process.<\/p>\n

Connection Settings<\/h2>\n

Under \u00abMy Phone Numbers,\u00bb you can enter the location information on the \u00abConnection Settings\u00bb tab.<\/p>\n

Setting Up Phones<\/h2>\n

Your phone number is now registered with our system via the FRITZ!Box. To use your desired phone with the FRITZ!Box, you must first set up your device. To do this, go to \u00abTelephony\u00bb and then \u00abTelephony Devices.\u00bb Here, you can then click \u00abSet Up New Device.\u00bb You\u2019ll now be taken back to a setup wizard to connect the phone to the FRITZ!Box. It\u2019s best to simply select \u00abPhone\u00bb here and click \u201cNext.\u201d.<\/p>\n

You will now be taken back to a wizard to set up the phone for use with the FRITZ!Box. It's best to simply select \u00abPhone\u00bb here and click \"Next.\".<\/p>\n

Now you can connect your phone to the FRITZ!Box. Then select the port to which you connected the phone. If you're using multiple phones, you can enter a name for the phone so you'll always know where it's connected.<\/p>\n

Finally, you can select which phone number to use for outgoing calls. If you only have one number, simply select the number you set up earlier.<\/p>\n

All the necessary settings have now been entered. You can now use the FRITZ!Box to make phone calls via Winet.<\/p>\n

Proactive, staffed operational support is available during business hours (AZ) on business days from Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During other times (OT), the optional on-call service is available.<\/p>\n
