SIP Trunk

Connect your existing phone system to our telephony platform easily and affordably. With unlimited call channels, flexible phone numbers, and no additional upfront costs.

The IP connection for SIP-compatible phone systems

The Winet SIP trunk allows you to establish multiple simultaneous voice connections using the SIP protocol with your existing phone system. Unlike a standard SIP account for a single SIP device, your phone system does not need to register each individual phone number with Winet, as registration takes place directly through the main trunk number.

This involves no additional investment costs for you, since your existing phone system (whether VoIP-capable or retrofitted with an adapter) serves as the centerpiece and can continue to be used.

Unlike other providers, Winet offers an unlimited number of call channels at no cost—except for a small basic fee—regardless of the size of the phone system.

With a SIP trunk, you can connect SIP-enabled phone systems, gateways, or SBCs to our telephony platform at a low cost. Winet complies with the RFC standard and is also certified for use with various telephony systems.

What exactly is a SIP trunk?

A SIP trunk is essentially nothing more than a connection between your phone system and your service provider. In the past, so-called ISDN basic or primary lines were used for phone connections.

Today, this can be solved with a SIP phone system: Compared to these older connections, today's SIP trunks allow for an unlimited number of call channels to be used simultaneously.

Advantages of a SIP Trunk

All-IP is a global trend, and the use of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking is growing rapidly. In countries such as Switzerland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and many other European countries, the number of ISDN lines is declining. BT, KPN, France Télécom, Deutsche Telekom, and Telecom Italia are major telecommunications companies that had already stopped offering these lines by 2020. Thanks to VoIP technology, the market reached a value of $30 billion in 2020.

SIP trunking offers a host of benefits for businesses that want to stay on the cutting edge of technology. With SIP, individual phone numbers and extensions, as well as entire blocks of phone numbers, can be assigned. Winet offers number porting for existing phone numbers—which is especially convenient for companies that want to remain reachable at their familiar number.

Backup Routing to Any Phone Number

Good to know! With Winet, any phone number can be forwarded to any other phone number. For example, in the event of a service outage, you can automatically forward calls from your extension to your cell phone. With other providers, it’s usually only possible to forward the main number or the entire block to a single destination.
