April, April does whatever it wants – That’s the typical saying this month, especially when it comes to the turbulent weather changes. Things are just as exciting over at Winet—but with the great news that Winet has plenty of new things in store for its customers. April brought many exciting specials that are setting a significant course for Winet’s future. From new product expansions and a fresh shopping experience to delightful awards and the «Anniversary of the Telephone»—April was a wonderful month thanks to its positive diversity. Awarded the title of "TOP TRAINING COMPANY 2021/2022"
Let's start right away with the good news, because there's a great reason to celebrate! Winet has been named by the Swiss Institute for Quality Assurance (SIQT for short) as the TOP TRAINING COMPANY 2021/2022 awarded. Over the past few months, SIQT has conducted a comprehensive and independent study on the best training companies in Switzerland, evaluating nearly 2,000 companies from various cantons. April 25 – Telephone Day
Next, we’ll move on to a special anniversary that’s probably known to very few people, but which is central to Winet’s day-to-day business—we’re talking about the «Telephone Day», which is celebrated on April 25.
This national day is particularly well-known in the United States, where it is celebrated as «National Telephone Day.» This curious holiday commemorates the invention of the telephone by the British-born, later American inventor Alexander Graham Bell (1847–1922). Bell plays a major role in the history of the telephone and telecommunications, and today’s IT and telecommunications industries honor this very holiday. After all, it’s hard to imagine today’s technological world—and its future digital transformation—without the telephone.
Final Reflection
As colorful and varied as April was, it was a month full of surprises. This included the easing of restrictions by the federal government, which we had all been looking forward to. We hope that the entire COVID-19 situation will settle down in the near future and that we will be able to welcome you back to our offices soon.
