Software as a Service

The cloud specialists are here to support you at any time

The SaaS model is based on the idea that the software and IT infrastructure are provided by an external IT service provider and used by the customer as a service. To use online services, you need a computer with Internet access and an Internet connection to the external IT service provider. The software is typically accessed via a web browser.

The service recipient pays a usage fee for the use and operation of the service. The SaaS model allocates acquisition and operating costs according to the „pay-as-you-go“ principle. Typically, the service provider independently handles all IT administration as well as other services such as maintenance and software updates. This outsources the IT infrastructure, including all administrative tasks, allowing the service recipient to focus on its core business. Nevertheless, the ultimate responsibility for proper use and implementation lies with the service recipient.

Infrastructure as a Service

IaaS refers to a business model that, unlike the traditional approach of purchasing computing infrastructure („My server is in my basement“), allows users to rent it as needed (on demand). This opens up a wide range of possible applications, including:

  • One-time applications are becoming affordable
  • Peak loads are absorbed
  • Sudden growth is possible without any problems (scalability)
  • Idle capacity can be made available again immediately
  • There is no need to maintain special infrastructure for applications that are rarely used
  • The virtualization technology required for this makes it possible to easily test software on a wide variety of platforms
